Your Future is in your hands. YOU choose which life u want to live.sit on your couch complaining about life or wake up in the morning with new ideals to better your life and your tomorrow.we all have the things we want it is just how hard we want to keep them and make everything visible in everyone s eyes.

Your Future

by Jako Poolman -

I agree Rose. We have everything we need...to take the next step on the journey.

This may sometimes come in something as simple as an opportunity.

A race is not won in simply crossing the finishing line. It is the planning, preparation, practice, practice, practice, failing in between, pitching up on race day, starting, running, persevering and finishing to the best of your ability that determines success.

Unfortunately there are many people today who do not want to do any of the work, they only want the gold medal...and when they don't get it, they complain (sit on the couch complaining about life, to quote you).

It is mostly only through hard work that we come to appreciate what we have.

Positive Opportunities

by Jako Poolman -

"In every day, there are 1440 minutes. That means we have 1440 daily opportunities to make a positive impact."Les Brown

In "Alice through the Looking Glass" by Lewis Carroll, Alice is faced with an impossible task. She says so with her statement, "There is no use trying, one can't believe impossible things."

How often do we come to choices or opportunities and simply choose to think that it is "impossible". The epic response of the red queen is simply, "I dare say you haven't had much practice. When I was your age, I always did it for half an hour a day. Why, sometimes I've believed as many as six impossible things before breakfast."

Use every opportunity today to practice being positive and believing the impossible. As Henry Ford said, "If you think you can do a thing or think you can't do a thing, you're right."

What do you hope for?

by Jako Poolman -
It is easy to become negative because of our circumstances. Whatever they may be. The economy, political landscape - local and international - , personal circumstances. All of this can influence how we feel, how we speak, how we react.

It is however your attitude that determines if you will allow an outside force how you feel inside. The moment you allow something or someone to influence how you feel or react, then you are no longer free.

Where does success come from

by Jako Poolman -

Good morning BMT, this morning we look at a quotation from an early "self-help" author, Napoleon Hill.

His book "Think and Grow Rich" (1937) has sold over 20 million copies and is in the top 10 of the best selling self-help books of all time. (Wikipedia) His research was done by examining 40 millionaires (In 1937, specifically during the great depression, millionaires was today's billionaires!), looking for the "secrets" of their success.

The 13 principles that makes up his philosophy on achieving personal success, is not only limited to success in business, but can be applied in any area of your life. So often we measure "success" according to money or assets, but we should transcend beyond that.

What did you think about Napoleon's book and do you think it is still current today?

How do you measure success?

"Patience, Persistence and Perspiration make an unbeatable combination for success." Napoleon Hill

Good morning BMT! It is May and we can feel the cold starting to creep in. This morning we look at what is important to our success. Is it only motivation or the drive to succeed? Is it the strategy and tactics we use? Is it what we equip ourselves with? Is it about opportunities and making use of them? Maybe it is a combination of it all. However, as Elon Musk said, "When something is important enough, you do it even if the odds are not in your favour."

What is important to you and to your success?

Good morning BMT!

The most important thing when you want to make a change, make an improvement, begin a new project, do that assignment, or whatever it is that you have planned or dreamed about, is to start. It doesn't matter if you are not 100% ready, 80% is fine. In fact, 80% is better...because if you wait for 100%, then you will wait for perfection.

And life is not perfect.

Life is gloriously imperfect. And it is within that imperfection where we should joyfully celebrate every success! Barrack Obama said, "The future reward those who press on. I don't have time to feel sorry for myself. I don't have time to complain. I'm going to press on."

Have an AWESOME week!

Good morning BMT College. It is often at this time of year when we have mostly given up on our new year's resolutions. (Or we are desperately trying to forget about them!)

But maybe this should be a different type of time. And since it is your life, you can choose what time this is for you. Maybe this is the time to recapture that joyful exhilaration that initially prompted us to do or plan or hope for whatever it was. A time to examine and restate our plans and goals.

Time is relative. Find joy in whatever it is you do...and keep on going!

Yes, also true! And knowing yourself leads to knowing what you can do. In that we should surround ourselves with people that positively build on what we can do. Speaking life into our lives. Unfortunately, so many people miss what they are capable of because they allow the negativity of others to influence their lives. Believe that you can what you can, and surround yourself with people who share that belief!

We know why we should do it.
