Congratulations, you have made it through countless nights without sleep to submit all your assignments, applied for an extension or two, jumped through each and every hoop and submitted your ID document and declaration form way too many times..... You have mastered all the outcomes, received your graduation invitation and booking form and finally you can sit back, relax and graduate. Well, almost...
One of the questions that is probably racing through your mind right now is: "Who do I take to my graduation ceremony?” The restriction of only two guests can cause a massive dilemma. So how do you decide? If you are married, your significant other might be the obvious choice. If not, your mom and dad is probably a safe alternative. Making this decision, while trying not to offend your aunt, who insists that she is the reason that you made it this far in life, may prove to be quite challenging to say the least.
"What am I going to wear to the ceremony?” Ladies, you know what I am talking about...So many decisions to make: High heels or pumps? Do I wear something glittery or more reserved? Should I take a big handbag, small handbag or no handbag? Red lips or pink?
Finally you make it to the graduation venue, you are even early. The warm smiles, jovial and cheerful chatting is making your heart race even faster with anticipation for the big moment. After a few speeches and formalities, you hear your name being called out for the successful completion of your qualification. You see the proud smiles on your mom and aunt's faces and as your mom starts singing "Halala” you make your way on to the stage... It feels as if your chest might explode with joy at any moment. All the drama and all the shopping was worth it, for this one moment: A moment that you will never forget.
Graduation day, there is nothing quite like it!
